On November 24, 2021, your Unican/ILCO/Kaba Magstripe Solitaire lock system time measurement technology will be obsoleted. The current Solitaire system in use is based on time measurement technology developed in 1989. On November 24, 2021, locks will not accept any guest, staff, resident or emergency key cards created as of 8:00 pm local time. Also, lock audit reports will no longer be accurate. Once the original emergency key cards expire, emergency access to locks will require use of the mechanical key for locks equipped with a key override cylinder. Customer systems need to be replaced by November 24, 2021, to avoid these issues.

No. This has nothing to do with Microsoft although the last Operating System from Microsoft to support this system was XP, which was discontinued several years ago.
